| — | Bob Dylan in response to Levon Helm’s passing |
Thinking about Levon Helm this morning. Yesterday it was reported that Helm is in the final stages of cancer. Above is his 2007 conversation with Terry.
A legend.
My girl Mavis is getting around! Here she is performing “The Weight” with Andrew Bird. This might be my favorite in a string of accompaniments including…. Win Butler at Outside Lands, Colin Meloy at the Newport Folk Fest, Billy Bragg at The Filmore in San Fran, Elvis Costello in Australia, Michael Franti at Red Rocks and of course with The Band at The Last Waltz.
2 of our Newport favorites.
